Bookkeeping
Books you can actually rely on
Reconciled, current books produced with the tax return in mind — so filing season is a review rather than a reconstruction, and you can see how the business is doing in between.

- Owners who are behind and need a catch-up before a return can be filed
- Businesses whose numbers never quite match the bank statements
- Owners spending evenings categorizing transactions themselves
- Businesses that need financial statements for a lender or landlord
- Anyone who wants their bookkeeping done by a firm that also prepares the return
What's included

- Bank, credit card and loan accounts reconciled so the books tie to reality.
- Transaction categorization
- Consistent categorization mapped to how the activity will be treated on the return.
- Financial statements
- A profit and loss and balance sheet delivered on a regular schedule.
- Catch-up cleanup
- Prior periods rebuilt and corrected where records are incomplete or misclassified.
- Year-end close
- Adjusting entries, fixed asset and depreciation schedules, and a tax-ready trial balance.
- Questions answered
- The odd transactions get flagged and asked about, not silently dumped into a suspense account.
How it works
A straightforward process
- 01
Assess
We look at your current books, accounts and software to see what's there and what's missing.
- 02
Clean up
Any backlog is brought current and corrected, so ongoing work starts from a reliable balance.
- 03
Maintain
A regular monthly cycle of reconciliation, review and statements, with year-end close built in.
Questions we hear often
I'm months (or years) behind. Can you catch me up?
Yes. Catch-up work is scoped separately from ongoing bookkeeping: we assess how far back the gap goes, what records exist, and quote the cleanup before starting.
Which software do you work in?
Common small business accounting platforms are supported. If you already have a system your team knows, the usual approach is to work in it rather than force a migration.
Do I need bookkeeping if my business is small?
If money moves through a business bank account, someone has to categorize it. The question is whether that happens monthly with reconciliations, or in a rush the week before the return is due — the second option costs more and produces worse numbers.
Does bookkeeping include payroll?
Payroll processing is usually run through a payroll provider. The bookkeeping engagement records and reconciles payroll activity so wages, taxes and liabilities are correct in your books.
