FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
Who will actually work on my return?
Riverside CPA & Tax is a founder-led firm. Logan Allec, CPA, is personally involved in the engagements the firm takes on, so you're working with a licensed CPA rather than being handed off after a sales conversation.
Do I need to be located in Riverside to work with you?
No. The firm is rooted in Riverside and works with clients throughout California. Documents can be exchanged securely and meetings can be held by phone or video when that's easier for you.
What's the difference between tax preparation and tax planning?
Tax preparation reports what already happened during a year that has closed. Tax planning looks forward — at entity choice, retirement contributions, timing of income and deductions, and estimated payments — so you can influence the outcome before the year ends.
I'm behind on filing or bookkeeping. Is that a problem?
It's common, and it's fixable. The first step is understanding which years and which records are outstanding, then working through them in a sensible order so you get current and stay current.
How do fees work?
Fees depend on the complexity of your return or the scope of ongoing work. You'll receive a clear quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
How do I get started?
